BlueStone Ivory will be at Jim & Jack's this weekend. More information below.
Last weekend we took well deserved time off to prepare for the busy end of 2008. We are planning to learn some new tunes and brush off some of our holiday standards we only get to play a few times a year...right around Christmas time.
I would like to gently digress back two weeks ago and share a few of the photos from Halloween 2008.
The photo's above are of your favorite band BSI as Pirates being that we were playing at the Pirates Den II it was only appropriate. The second photo is of the finalists in the costume contest. A few patrons felt a little surprised at the seductive outfits a couple of the contestants wore...Guess who won? That's right the Old Lady took the grand prize. The judges were members of BSI however just so everyone knows we were not swayed by a cute smile and a short skirt. The final choice was from the audience. We chose from the applause.
The grand prize should be awarded to Dave our Sound man. Check out this photo and video below.
Did you ever see an uglier looking broad? (the one in the middle of course) I don't know how Dave kept this costume under wraps all night. I think he was coercing with Chris and Jo until the unveiling. It took everything Rick had to keep his mind on the song when Dave let her rip in You Can Leave Your Hat On and off came the large sheet Dave had been touting in all evening. Whoa!!! Well if that isn't enough fun stuff, you don't want to miss out on the chance to win one of three packages to New Years Eve extravaganza at the Marriott North in West Chester this year. That's right, we are giving away 1 full package worth $299.95 and 2 packages at 1/2 off the price worth $150.00 each. All you need to do is go to our website www.BlueStoneIvory.com and click on the New Years Eve information button. Register for your package, the hotel will contact you with credit card information and once you make your reservation you will be entered into the contest. The winners will get a refund based on their winnings. The winner will be picked at Jim & Jack's on December 20th. The winner need not be present...but it is more fun if you are. There are only 150 packages sold and last count we had 90 left. So don't delay. It will be sold out again this year.
Ah, yes...Halloween, 2008. Something for everyone. How will you be able to top the entertainment at next year's celebration? The band and crew went "all out" when it came to the pirate costumes. "Wench" Dave pretty much stole the show. Enjoyed watching the video this morning.
Looking forward to being at Jim & Jack's this weekend and then the Mam'selles Reunion Dance at Music Hall after Thanksgiving. It's nice to dress up "fancy" occasionally! The Yearlings event was fun and a different kind of venue for the guys. See you this weekend. Carol
