Vote for Gary
Show Some Love
I listen to talk radio during the day and read a lot of other blogs for ideas for this and other blogs I post to on a regular basis. I heard that Gary Burbank was nominated for the Radio Hall of Fame and decided that I wanted to do my part. Gary Burbank has been very good to BlueStone Ivory as he is to anyone he comes in contact with. Gary is just a down right nice guy to say the lest.
Gary Burbank will never be replaced as the best afternoon radio show on 700WLW. Gary Burbank and all his characters, Gilbert Gnarley, Ranger Bob, Big Fat, Dan Buckles, Lars Peavey, Right Reverend Deuteronomy Skaggs, Eunice and Bernice, one of my favorites Earl Pitts Uhmerikun and the highlight of each week, the show that BlueStone Ivory and many other local bands and musicians were welcomed on a regular basis ...Howlin Blind Muddy Slim your sixty minute, jelly belly toe jam man learnin you some blues. WOW! What a charater and what a show that was. There are a bunch of Cincinnati musicians that miss Howlin Blind.
Well, I went to Scott Stanley's blog at www.700wlw.com and moved this info over to this blog so all the BSI fans could chip in and cast your vote for Gary Burbank in the Radio Hall of Fame.
To vote for Gary, go to this page,
https://nrhof.votenet.com/nrhof/register/
Fill out your name and email and the Radio Hall of Fame will send you a link to the voting form. It takes maybe a total of 90 seconds… that’s not so bad. If we can’t get Pete or Joe into the Baseball Hall of Fame… lets at least get Gary in the radio Hall of Fame.
