Saturday night a week ago September 19th BlueStone Ivory broke some records. We were booked to play at Carlo & Johnny's and Oktoberfest was happening at the same time downtown Cincinnati. Everyone assumed it would be a quite night downtown Montgomery with all the emphasis on downtown Cincinnati with the largest Chicken dance going on.
We were all fooled. In fact we had about the largest crowd we have experienced ever at Carlo & Johnny's. There were several birthday parties, and anniversaries being celebrated with us that night.
It is always a pleasure to share the stage with the legendary Bob Wilson. When Bob comes out and plays with us he usually brings his lovely wife Sandy and an entourage of friends and relatives that show up for the sole purpose of cheering him on. Well, some will get a little carried away and make strange noises in between songs. But that's OK. It's all for the love of Bob. There were several fun things going on at Carlo & Johnny's that night. We had a Bob Wilson alert happening. Lee was in Connecticut playing with his old New Jersey friends opening for a Three Dog Night concert and then visiting his Mom in New York. So we had our old buddy Bob Wilson sit in for Lee.
Bob Wilson isn't the only one in the band that has friends follow them around. Ted usually has his sister(s) and/or brother(s) show up. Rick will have his sister and other friends come out. Of course Rusty always has a group of fans cheer him on.
This night I had some friends of mine. Marge & Wayne Jones. I have know Wayne and his wife for over 16 years. They love to come out and listen to BSI at least once a year and the 19th at Carlo & Johnny's was the time and place. In fact they brought their daughter and her best friend to come out and enjoy the horn driven sounds of BlueStone Ivory...Live & Kick'n.

Sorry to see you go, Lee, but I'm sure you thought this out from right to left and every way possible and made your decision. Hope it turns out to be the right choice and that you have a lot of happiness and success. You'll meet so many new people and make new friends...just don't forget the old BSI fans, please! You will be missed!
